We are so excited to welcome two new music therapists to our team.
Welcome to Qiana Tompkins, MT-BC!
Qiana is a small town girl with big city dreams. She grew up in Wytheville, VA., and obtained a Bachelor’s of Music with a concentration in Music Therapy from Radford University in Radford, VA.
Qiana has been board certified since January 2018, and formerly worked with individuals who receive the BDDS waiver and hospice care at Meaningful Day Services. She now lives in Kokomo, and she look forward to serving the community with Dynamic Music Services, Inc.
Welcome to Janelle Davis, MT-BC!
Janelle was born and raised in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. Her passion for music began at age six, being involved in piano lessons, church choir, and then later, flute and piccolo. During high school, Janelle had a particular interest in psychology and counseling, and was introduced to the profession of music therapy from her flute teacher. She knew then that music therapy would be the most perfect career choice for her, because it joined her two greatest passions in life: music and psychology.
Janelle graduated from Western Illinois University in July 2017 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy and a minor in Psychology. While attending WIU, Janelle was involved in marching band, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Music Therapy Association, and the International Women’s Music Fraternity, Sigma Alpha Iota. Janelle then went on to complete her music therapy internship at Opportunities for Positive Growth in Fishers, Indiana, where she worked with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on the Indiana Medicaid Waiver. With just over two years of experience in the field of music therapy, Janelle is thrilled to be joining the wonderful team of therapists at Dynamic Music Services!
